The Midlands is in for a treat this August with the Schlesinger Theatr e, Michaelhouse proudly presenting the spectacular production, Oh! What a L ovely War, from 12 to 15 August 2018.

Directed by William le Cord eur and staring Michaelhouse and St Anne’s pupils, Joan Littlewood’s Oh! Wh at a Lovely War will offer audiences musical entertainment based on the ori ginal World War 1 farce created in 1963. This musical comedy, which will ma ke you laugh until you cry, is a fast-paced show presented by Pierrot clown s, set on an English seaside pier featuring wonderful songs from the Great War period, as well as the funniest history lesson you will ever sit throug h!

This musical comedy is a tribute to those who gave the ultimat e sacrifice; including head of Michaelhouse at the time, Rector Brown, who resigned from his job to go to the front and was killed in battle. He, alon g with the many other Michaelhouse Old Boys will be honoured in this produc tion.

Oh! What a Lovely War will be hosted by the Schlesinger The atre, Michaelhouse, with performances on Sunday 12 August at 2pm, Monday 13 August at 7pm, Tuesday 14 August at 7pm and Wednesday 15 August at 7pm.
