The Hilton College Science Department is pleased to announce that our team of four have progressed into the final round of the iThink Challenge. The boys have been competing against a number of other schools across the country via an online format. The finals will be held in Cape Town on the week-end of 1 September and Hilton College will be competing against two other schools.
16 boys (two teams of 8 each) represented the school in the provincial Hip2B2iThink Challenge hosted at Epworth Girls earlier in the term. One of the teams got through to the second round which was held on Friday past. The team was then trimmed down to 4 boys (based on correct answers being submitted via SMS to the organisers). The four boys then competed in the semi-final round on Monday. The format of the competition involved social media site Facebook, an online radio link, WhatsApp as well as SMS communication.
