Laddsworth Primary School in Hilton recently held its Track and Field athletics competitions over two days.
The winning house this year was Duiker, with Duiker athletes also winning the Victrix Ludorum, (Robyn Ducasse) and Victor Ludorum (Senzo Ngidi).
Greg Brash set a new record in the Open 150m (19:35) and also broke the Open 100m record (12: 56). Another record to fall was the Under 11 girls' high jump, which had stood since 1992. Jamie Tegg set a new record of 1,27 metres, one centimetre up from the previous record of 1,26 metres. Thando Myeza broke the boys U11 long jump record with a jump of 4,35 m; and Lauren Knobel set a new record in the girls' U12 1 200m race (4:27:44).
The special guest who presented prizes at the recent Laddsworth Primary School Sports Day, Sandy Ducasse, with the Victrix Ludorum, her daughter, Robyn, and the Victor Ludorum, Senzo Ngidi.
