Grade 7s at Laddsworth Primary School in Hilton have been presenting the play Bugsy Malone to appreciative audiences. Set in New York City in 1929, the musical recaptures the ambience of the Prohibition in the United States. The original 1976 musical gangster film was made with an all-child cast that featured the well-known actor Jodie Foster, who was then 13.
Pictured here are workers in the Chinese laundry, dancers who entertain guests in Fat Sam's speakeasy and members of Dandy Dan's gangster mob.
