The green had to be closed on Tuesday after steady drizzle through much of the morning had made it unplayable. Wednesday was brighter and the Jaxx Roll went ahead as planned. Two people deserve special mention for their actions with regard to this event. Firstly thanks to Fred Palmer who took over the organization in the absence of John Pattrick who usually arranges the competition. Fred's one big problem was resolved by Peter Freer of Howick who, having been called at eight o'clock in the morning raised a full team and got them to Hilton in time to ensure a balanced field. Thanks for your support, Peter.
Winners of the Jaxx Roll were Brian Ravno, Bill Ralphs and Burnice Shaw. Winners of the Losers were Heather Hancock, Ian Fyvie and Tim Bigg. Laddsworth Primary School have joined the KZN Midlands in wrapping trees in pink to raise awareness for the upcoming CANSA Relay for Life. All Laddsworth families have been invited to join in and wrap a tree on Laddsworth's verge or inside the campus to increase the support of this worthy cause. The fabric is R65.00 per/metre and is available at Bella Vie at Greendale Acres Centre in Howick. All profit raised will go to CANSA PMB & Pink Trees for Pauline.
On Sunday 15th March Kyle and Brady Bullock of Laddsworth Primary School competed in the Cordwalles leg of this year's aQuellé Mudman Series at Midmar Dam. A very energetic Calvin Tyne finished the Mudskipper as well as the Half Mudman event.

Georgia Lupton-Smith and Katekile Dakile were two of the 15 promising young speakers selected to represent the Pietermaritzburg League at the KZN Schools' Debating Association Inter-League Tournament held at Hillcrest High School on Sunday 22 March. The competition was tough and both girls gained valuable experience and exposure through the tournament.
The St Anne's 1st Hockey Team participated in the SPAR Regional and Parklane SPAR competitions on Saturday 21 March where they were unbeaten to claim top spot with a 1 nil victory over GHS in the finals.
Master Maths Hilton is owned by Roger Sheppard and has now opened in Hilton Village. Roger first started a centre in Pietermaritzburg West in 2011 and has offered Master Maths tuition since then.
Congratulations to Simone Markham who was awarded a Certificate of Achievement from the International Rock School Music Examination Board for achieving the highest mark nationally in the Popular Vocals Examinations sitting last year.
Prianna Maharaj from Laddsworth Primary School recently competed for KZN in a Table Tennis Tournament in Mangaung, she won a first place in the U13 grouping and received a Gold Medal and Trophy for this success. Competing in the U15 category Prianna placed third and earned a Bronze Medal.
During Laddsworth Primary School's away fixture in Winterton on Saturday 14th March, Andrew Beyrooti took six wickets for 24 runs off seven overs for Laddsworth's First XI. We look forward to seeing more from this young cricketer.

A Hilton College production - The play begins in Spain, where our main character Pizarro, is recruiting men for an expedition to Peru. He is accompanied by his second-in-command, a Catholic priest determined to spread the shining light of Christianity. At the beginning of the voyage Pizarro is obsessed with chivalry, glory and honour, but becomes increasingly disillusioned throughout, as a crisis of faith also unravels.
